In this session, we will use a manufacturing line example to show how you can build custom objects in Simio, incorporate task sequences and materials into your model, and optimize your system. Once our manufacturing cell has been created, we will demonstrate creating experiments to look at how different properties affect various KPIs. We will also review using the OptQuest add-on feature in Simio to run various simulation runs to optimize single or multiple response variables, as well as how constraints can be incorporated to get the most accurate and best model for you.

About the presenter
Chiara Bondi, Solutions Engineer at Simio
Chiara a Solutions Engineer at Simio. She has worked part-time for Simio since January of 2022, and prior to that worked with Simio Software during an internship the summer of 2021. Chiara graduated in 2022 with a B.A. in Mathematics and Statistics with a double minor in Physics and Computer Science from Hamilton College. She primarily focused on applied mathematics during her education at Hamilton, studying various machine learning algorithms both from a statistics perspective as well as implementing them using R, Python, and C++. Other than Simio, her hobbies include running, golfing, and trying new recipes in the kitchen.
