This session focus on how to use Simio’s experimentation tools to find “the best” model configuration for a given objective. These tools include Subset Selection function and the OptQuest and Select Best Scenario add-ins. We will discuss the basic concepts of Ranking and Selection and demonstrate the use of these tools with a Simio model.

About the presenter
Jeff Smith, Vice President of Training & Academic Programs
Jeff Smith is currently the VP for Training and Academic Services at Simio LLC. Prior to this position, he spent 32 years as a Professor of Industrial Engineering at Auburn University and Texas A&M University where he taught simulation, manufacturing system design, and data analytics at the graduate and undergraduate levels. He has also worked with Simio in a consulting role since Simio’s introduction to the market. Dr. Smith holds PhD and MS degrees in Industrial Engineering from Penn State and a BSIE from Auburn.
