Position:
Join Simio’s Training and Academic Programs team as a Training/Education Engineer where you will be part of the group that develops, deploys, and manages our training materials and supports our academic user-base through the Academic Case Studies program, the development and dissemination of teaching materials, and general knowledge transfer. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, instructional design proficiency, and a collaborative mindset to work closely with our development, product, services, and sales teams to ensure the successful development and delivery of training and educational materials. In addition to internal collaboration, this role also involves close interaction with our external academic users to cultivate relationships and expand our reach in the academic community and with our commercial users to facilitate and support end-user training.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and/or Systems Engineering or related field
- 2+ years’ work experience
- Discrete Event Simulation project experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Helpful, but not required:
- 5+ years’ work experience
- Graduate degree with teaching and/or training experience
- Knowledge of and experience with Simio
- Academic program management experience
- Training materials development experience
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS)
This is a full-time, salaried position with a 40-hour workweek commitment. Compensation and role seniority/title will be aligned with the candidate’s education and experience level. Our headquarters office is in Sewickley, PA – just outside of Pittsburgh, and this position can either be onsite in the office, 100% remote, or hybrid.
