Position:
Join Simio’s Software Development team as an intern/co-op, where your responsibilities will include feature development, functionality improvements, and defect resolution. You’ll gain hands-on experience working within an Agile environment, participate in sprint meetings, and collaborate with the development team to complete work items across both our desktop and web portal products.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a four-year, accredited university
- Currently studying: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field
- Successful completion of undergraduate or graduate courses with a strong focus on programming
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-starter with a strong desire to learn new software development skills
Helpful, but not required:
- Experience writing software in an object-oriented language, C# is preferred
- Experience in HTML/CSS/JS
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle
This internship is a paid position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week. Compensation will be commensurate with the level of education and experience. Specific dates and duration are flexible based on school terms. We prefer candidates who can work on-site at Simio’s headquarters in Sewickley, PA (just outside Pittsburgh).
