Position:
Join Simio’s Product & Support Services team as an intern/co-op, where you will work closely with our Applications Engineers to provide product planning and support assistance to internal stakeholders and Simio customers. In this role, you will assist with customer support cases, troubleshoot both customer and internally developed Simio models, participate in the product planning process, conduct product testing, develop documentation and Knowledge Base articles, and create or enhance Simio SimBits.

Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a four-year, accredited university
- Currently studying: Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field
- Successful completion of an undergraduate or graduate course in Discrete Event Simulation, or experience with projects applying Discrete Event Simulation techniques, preferably using Simio
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with a variety of computer productivity applications and engineering tools; knowledge of Minitab, Python, SQL, Power BI or similar applications is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-starter with a strong desire to learn new skills and explore advanced topics in Discrete Event Simulation and Digital Twin technology
Helpful, but not required:
- Experience in teaching or training, including roles as a Teaching Assistant
- Advanced knowledge of Simio and/or other Discrete Event Simulation applications
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role
- Academic coursework and/or practical experience in manufacturing operations or related fields
This internship is a paid position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week. Compensation will be commensurate with the level of education and experience. Specific dates and duration are flexible based on school terms. We prefer candidates who can work on-site at Simio’s headquarters in Sewickley, PA (just outside Pittsburgh) or in the Dallas, TX area.
